On a fateful day in 2021, Max Gieser and Ben Overzet, two handsome comedians living in Brooklyn, created Circle Alert, a reality TV podcast covering Netflix’s The Circle. As their audience quickly grew in front of their eyes, so did their ambition, and thus Reality Alert was born.

Ben soon moved to his hometown of Denver, Colorado, and eventually Max relocated to his dream town of Los Angeles, California. But through the turbulence of life they never stopped podcasting about everyone’s favorite Netflix reality shows - Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum, Perfect Match, you name it.

Through this journey, Max and Ben have interviewed countless reality TV stars from many different shows and have learned so much about what makes toxic relationships not work. They also learned one man’s trash TV is another man’s treasure. But Max and Ben’s favorite part of hosting Reality Alert has been connecting with all of their amazing listeners, known lovingly as The Rascal Army.

Big Rascal Max

Max Gieser is an L.A.-based actor, writer, and comedian. You can catch him every month at The Pack Theater performing with his sketch teams Vogue and Hot Prophet. While living in N.Y.C. Max performed sketch and improv at UCB and The PIT. Additionally Max has his own YouTube channel of high-concept sketch comedy he writes and directs and was the creator of his own sketch show, which he modestly named The Max Gieser Show. Max received his B.F.A. in Acting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Ben Overzet

Big Rascal Ben

Ben Overzet is a comedian as well as a writer/director/producer living in Denver. His work has been accepted into festivals like the New York Television Festival and he's been a finalist in Austin Film Festival's Scriptwriting Competition. Ben has trained in sketch writing at UCB and The Pack Theater in Los Angeles and New York.
